After giving birth to her twins, Noura felt that her body shape had changed due to water retention caused by pregnancy. All of this was enough to worsen her condition, especially after noticing excess weight that she was not able to lose quickly because of a weakness in her abdominal muscles. With the extra weight gained during pregnancy, Noura started experiencing back and neck pain, in addition to constant swelling in her legs because of pregnancy-related fluid retention.
Muscle separation (diastasis recti) and weak abdominal muscles were among the main challenges we faced with Noura. This was in addition to her neck and back pain, and the swelling and heaviness in her legs due to weight gain. She also had back pain, neck pain, and fluid retention in her legs because of pregnancy.
From the very beginning, we had to rehabilitate her body safely because all of this was a natural result of pregnancy. Psychologically, she needed to accept herself and be patient with the process. We began by organizing a nutritional system to treat water retention and bloating, reducing inflammatory foods, and lowering high carbohydrates and sodium intake, which contributed heavily to water retention. We added exercises to target her lower back pain, along with strengthening the large muscle groups and incorporating moderate to low-intensity cardio. As for her swelling and fluid retention, Noura followed a system focused on improving blood circulation and strengthening the leg muscles.
